Custom Poker Chip Customer Spotlight

These are photos of chips that we did for the owner of the Los Angeles Lakers, a formidable poker player in his own right, as a birthday gift for his son. The photos are not the greatest quality, and appear much lighter than the actual chips look.

To explain how the order processing typically goes, here's what happened with this order (an assistant to Mr. Buss handled the ordering):

December 9th - Customer places order online for $29 artwork package (often times the chips and artwork are purchased together, but the customer has their option). Customer replys to order confirmation email with artwork instructions in the form of a short paragraph about what he wants for the design.

December 10th - Our artist sends the following 3 design options for the customer to preview:

December 11th - The customer requests an additional design modeled after an image he sends our artist. Our artist prepares and sends the following additional design:

December 23rd - After a few back and forth design emails and internal discussion by the customer, he decides between the design options and emails in his approval to go forward based on the 5th design version as follows:

December 23rd - Production begins immediately.

December 28th - The complete set of customized poker chips is shipped from our warehouse via UPS to the customer.

December 30th - Shipment of the chips is confirmed to the customer.

That's a pretty typical custom order process. As you'll note the design phase can happen quickly or be drawn out a bit depending on customer needs. Production time on this order was a little faster than average, but not that atypical.
