Q. Are these custom ceramic chips the same quality
as your Archetype ceramic chips?
A. No. Our Archetype
casino chip line is made by the same manufacturer that makes chip for many
Las Vegas casinos today. We consider our custom ceramic chips to be “2nd
tier” ceramic chips, but don't let that scare you as many of our competitors
sell equivalent (or lesser) chips and freely call them "casino quality".
The good news is our custom ceramic chips cost roughly one third the price of
our Archetype’s to customize. The bad news is the graphic detail on our
custom ceramic chips is not as high resolution as on our Archetypes and the
propensity to chip is worse on these custom ceramic chips. Those are the two
main downfalls of our custom ceramics, but all things considered they represent
a great value when you are considering a customized ceramic chip. They are still
great chips and aside from anyone with a thriving commercial casino operation,
these will be the perfect custom poker chip solution!
Q. Can I get an Archetype quality chip customized?
A. No.
Q. Who manufacturer’s these custom ceramic chips?
A. We consider our manufacturing sources to be one of our
competitive advantages, and thus our policy is to not release the identity of
any of our manufacturers. We have custom
ceramic poker chip samples available if you would like to see the quality
of these ceramic chips for yourself.
Q. Are the custom ceramic chips “casino-quality”?
A. Not by our standards, and we know “casino-quality”
pretty well as our primary business is selling chips by the same manufacturers
that make chips for Las Vegas casinos today. Our custom ceramic chips are nice
chips, but we consider them “2nd tier ceramics” as they are not
carried in any major casinos today, nor would they be due primarily to durability
(a higher propensity to chip than our Archetypes), print image clarity, and
security issues. There are a few companies out there that sell ceramic chips
of comparable quality to our custom ceramic chips and deceivingly proclaim them
to be “casino-quality”. We prefer to be more upfront and honest
about the shortfalls of 2nd tier ceramics chips, but also point out that they
represent a good value proposition given the considerable cost difference to
customize.
Q. Can I get chips made to look just like an existing
casino’s chips?
A. No. For obvious reason you can not get chips made to look
like any existing casino currency.
Q. Can I use a protected and/or copyrighted image
on my chip design?
A. No. No faces, logos, or protected images with the express
written consent of the owner.
Q. Can I get an exact color match to my artwork?
A. No, not typically. First off, colors are tricky when printing.
Some colors are trickier than others. Colors can look different on screen or
on paper than they will when printed on chip. As a general rule of thumb, you
can expect your colors on your actual chips to be a little duller than your
artwork looks on your screen.
Q. Can I get these faster than 2 weeks if I pay more
for a “rush job”?
A. Unfortunately, no. We don’t have the ability to offer
rush jobs and/or adhere to a shorter time schedule with any predictable consistency.
Sometimes thing can go faster than 2 weeks, but typically this is a good guideline.
The best way for you to speed up your order is to immediately purchase the poker
chip design package and have our artist get your design in a “ready
to print” format and then sign-off and fax in the PDF phaser sign-off
sheet prior to ordering the custom chips. Then, as soon as you order your custom
job will get scheduled into our production queue immediately.
Q. Is there a minimum number required for each denomination?
A. Yes, you must get a minimum of 40 chips in each denomination.
Additionally, the minimum chip set size for customization is 500 chips.
Q. Does it cost extra to have a different image on
both sides of each chip?
A. No. We do not charge extra for a different image on either
side of the chips.
Q. Is there a maximum number of denominations I can
get?
A. Yes. You can get as many as 5 denominations without incurring
any extra charges, so long as you have a minimum of 40 chips in each denomination.
And additional 5 denominations adds $30 to your order.
Q. Can I get a discount if I buy a large volume of
chips?
A. Yes. We have standardized volume discounts that bring the
price per chip down to as low as $0.60 per chip at a volume of 10,000. These
discounts are automatically applied to your purchase based on the quantity ordered
in your shopping cart, so there is no coupon code needed. Additionally, there
is no need to call us (unless you want to, which we always welcome) as everything
can be done online. Our standardized volume discount structure is as follows:
$0.95 per chip for quantities from 500 to 999 chips
$0.92 per chip for quantities from 1000 to 1499 chips
$0.90 per chip for quantities from 1500 to 1999 chips
$0.87 per chip for quantities from 2000 to 2499 chips
$0.84 per chip for quantities from 2500 to 4999 chips
$0.82 per chip for quantities from 5000 to 9999 chips
$0.80 per chip for quantities from 10,000 and up
If you represent a large organization and are looking for a substantially large
quantity of chips (50,000+), we can quote you a price on an individual basis.
