A 600-chip set works well for the large 9-10 person home poker party. As a rule of thumb with a 600 chip set, you should stick to any 3 to 4 consecutive denominations and have around 70% of the chips be in the lower two to three denominations. Or you can create a double set and get 300 chips in three lower denominations, and 300 chips in three of our higher denominations.

1: Three or four community cards that are all of a different suit. In Texas Hold'em, seeing a rainbow on the flop means any flush draw will need to pull two consecutive runners to complete the flush. Seeing a rainbow on fourth street means flushes become impossible.
