Why Cheap Poker Chips Suck
| |
Making a smart purchase
Poker players, as a group, are a pretty savvy bunch. It’s just
not a game you can really survive at long term if you’re not. It
tends to get expensive. That being said, we get calls everyday from poker
players that bought (from another store) what they thought was a great
deal on poker chips only to find out a month later that their chips are
crap. I can hear it now, “The chips are so slippery that I can’t
even stack them, and they make this really funny metallic ‘ping’
when someone splashes the pot.”
Everybody’s made a purchase like this at some point or another.
Sooner or later though, you learn that buying the cheapest product isn’t
always getting the best value. In fact, most the time it’s not.
There’s a wise saying about, “Being too poor to buy cheaply.”
Smart money always buys quality, once. That’s the audience we serve.
